We liked the location because it was close to Bayeux and we spent a lot of time there.
We were disappointed with the service at the hotel. On a couple of occasions we tried to get served with drinks and coffee but the staff ignored us completely. When we came back in the evening, neither staff on reception even greeted us or passed us a glance. We did not like the room as it was very small and did not give value for money. Those with difficulty in climbing the stairs, beware. There was no lift to the 2nd floor and no offer of help from the staff to carry our bags, despite a gentleman (!) showing us to our room. Other than breakfast, there was no room service or tea or coffee making facilities. The complimentary slippers were appreciated as the carpet was very dirty. The meals are quite expensive, £50+ for a main course, with no restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Beautiful grounds.
It was a beautiful place to stay with great facilities. The staff were most helpful and the restaurant was first class. We were very happy to have stayed at Chateau De Sully. Excellent venue.
Beautifull hotel in a beautifull garden, well kept, good staff, our room was kept clean and tidy each day. Good restaurant, bit expensive, but worth the money.
Noisy room, it was originally one big room that was divided in two rooms. Thin wal , you could here what the other guests said. When they walked in their room, the floor in our room made was cracking.
We had a very nice stay. However, there is no elevator. Therefore, if you have a physical handicap be sure to request a room on first floor.
The grounds were lovely and well maintained. Lots of birds and rabbits, etc. Conveniently located for Bayeux and d Day Beaches, Cemeteries.Very private. Gourmet cuisine.
Beautiful grounds. Very friendly and professional staff. Dinner menu is really good value for money.
The proximity to two roads makes it a bit noisy. No air con nor mini-bar in rooms. No water being provided. Rooms in separate building tend to get quite hot as pool/ sauna in the same building. Breakfast is very expensive. So are drinks (€8 for a non-alcoholic juice and €6.5 for a beer). Interior decoration is a bit too modern and lacks some charm. Service at dinner was a bit slow to start with and then improved drastically towards the end when most other guests had left.
Chateau de Sully is a beatiful chateau just a very short drive outside of Bayeux. People were very friendly, and professional, and the food is great!
Room was ok, but there was no mini bar, no water bottles, it would be nice to have access to that when you arrive. Slightly dated room in general, I was stayig in the annex.
The Chateau is beautiful, and set in peaceful, green grounds. The evening meal we ate was a wonderful experience; course upon course of flavoursome delights - a real treat.
Given the cost of the rooms, I was disappointed that there is no wifi (nor hard-wired LAN) facility in the room. In fact the room didn't feel like you were meant to spend any time in it - there was nowhere to eat, no room service, and no fridge. And given that the evening menu is really for a solid, long (and pricey) meal, and that the hotel is a drive/taxi away from the nearest town, I couldn't imagine staying for a holiday there. It made sense to me why people were driving to the Chateau simply for the meal itself. The service was polite, but a little inattentive at the beginning of our meal, leaving me at one point to wonder if I need to go find the waitress, since none was in sight for over 10 minutes. Once being served however, the attention to detail was flawless.
We enjoyed the ambiance and the staff were all very helpful. Thank you for a delightful stay.
The staff nice. The rooms clean and confortable.
Food Prices outrageous and not very tasty. Rooms were costly to have only a very small shower.
The grounds were beautiful and the hotel very nice.
The breakfast was not very good and the service not at all. Also the hotel had an overall "musty, old" smell.
The pool and spa facilities were very good, the chateau was a pretty building and the grounds were great
The restaurant was very expensive and the room we were in was not actually in the chateau and was quite small.
We enjoyed it a lot, especially the easy use of the swimming pool, the cuisine, and th eclose access to Bayeux
some of the background music
We were particularly pleased with the dining room and its staff.
Relaxation. Jessica. Accessibility to Bayeux and Port en Bessin.
It would be nice to have a light, reasonably priced breakfast option. Coffee at 14 euros/pot is a bit excessive.
